Ease Holiday Stress and Anxiety with In-Home Neurofeedback (LENS)
The holiday season often brings joy — but for many people it also brings increased stress, anxiety, sleepless nights and the extra burden of balancing family, work and self-care. If your nervous system is already carrying tension, that added load can keep you from moving, recovering and feeling your best.
That’s why I use the Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS) by Ochs Labs as part of my mobile and in-home physical therapy services. Unlike traditional neurofeedback, LENS uses ultra-low-level brain-wave signals to help the brain recalibrate, reduce overload and support better nervous system regulation. (Brain Health and Biofeedback Clinic+1)Why Neurofeedback Makes a Difference This Time of Year
Reduce anxiety and stress: With LENS, the brain gets subtle feedback that helps shift out of “fight or flight” patterns and supports calm, focused states.
Improve sleep and recovery: When the nervous system settles, you recover better, meaning fewer aches, less fatigue, and more resilience.
Pair with physical therapy: Because I’m a physical therapist with advanced training in LENS, I combine this neurofeedback approach with movement, manual therapy and in-home care so your whole body and nervous system get support.
Convenient in-home sessions: The best part is you don’t have to travel. I bring this service to you, where you’re comfortable, making it easier to fit into a busy holiday schedule.
How it Works
In a typical session, sensors are placed lightly on your head, or involved body region, while the LENS device records and plays back ultra-low-level brain-wave signals. This triggers the brain to reorganize and shift toward more efficient patterns of functioning. (Brain Health and Biofeedback Clinic+1) Because the energy used is extremely low, the treatment is non-invasive and comfortable for most people. Refer to our LENS page for additional resources. Is it Right for You?
If you’re feeling tension, sleep disruptions, chronic pain flare-ups, or simply more emotional or physical strain during the holidays, LENS can be a powerful adjunct to your care. It’s especially helpful when combined with movement, manual therapy and a focused recovery plan.
