Low Energy Neurofeedback

LENS Neurofeedback is a gentle, noninvasive therapy designed to help the brain reset, self-regulate, and function more efficiently. Developed by Dr. Len Ochs and used clinically for more than 30 years, the Low Energy Neurofeedback System works by reading real-time brainwave activity and sending back an extremely subtle, offset signal. This helps the brain shift out of stuck patterns and move toward better balance and stability.

Kristen has advanced training in the Low Energy Neurofeedback System and integrates LENS safely and effectively into personalized, in-home physical therapy sessions.

Sessions are brief, painless, and require no active effort. Most treatments last only a few minutes, making LENS an excellent option for individuals who are sensitive to stimulation or who have difficulty concentrating for long periods.

Many people report meaningful improvements within just a few sessions, especially in symptoms related to anxiety, trauma, focus difficulties, chronic stress, and nervous-system-driven pain.

What Makes LENS Different?

Traditional neurofeedback requires clients to focus on screens or complete tasks. LENS works passively, requiring no learning, no active engagement, and no extended session time.

As Ochs Labs explains:
“The LENS is a specific kind of neurofeedback that operates much more rapidly than traditional neurofeedback and has qualities that make it easier to use with people who are unable to sit still. With the LENS, the client doesn’t need to do anything, and there is nothing to learn. The typical session lasts 3–4 minutes.”

This makes LENS uniquely supportive for children, individuals with neurological conditions, and adults experiencing high stress or fatigue

How LENS Supports Physical Therapy and Recovery

LENS can be especially helpful when physical symptoms are influenced or amplified by nervous system dysregulation. In our in-home physical therapy setting, LENS has shown promising results in individuals experiencing:

Chronic Pain and Brain-Driven Pain Conditions

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Chronic muscle tension

  • Pain amplified by stress or nervous system overactivation

  • Long-standing pain that persists despite traditional PT

By helping the brain regulate more effectively, LENS often enhances physical therapy outcomes — allowing clients to move better, calm overactive muscle patterns, and progress more comfortably through rehab.

Is LENS Right for You?

Whether your goal is improved movement, reduced pain, or better nervous system balance, LENS offers a noninvasive and effective option to complement your physical therapy plan. As part of our in-home, one-on-one treatment sessions, LENS can be integrated seamlessly into care for clients in Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, and Queen Creek.
