How In It Together PT began
Finding the Right Fit for Patient Care
Why I Started My Own Practice
When I (Kristen) started my career in physical therapy in 2009, being a business owner was not my dream. I went to school to be a physical therapist and I wanted to spend my energy being the best I could at that. I started in a single owner out patient clinic and had a wonderful run for the first 5+ years. I saw a high volume of patients each day/week and I did the best I could to provide them with quality care and advance my skills professionally during that time. I moved then to a large corporate clinic where I was afforded some great continuing education opportunities and met some great people. I was still seeing a high volume of patients every day. As I looked for the next opportunity, I wanted more time with my patients, to understand their limitations and to better adjust my care to help them get the most out of their rehab experience. I still did not think business ownership was going to be my path.
I left corporate for another single owner out-patient clinic and hit the patient care jackpot. We only saw 1-2 patients per hour (a decrease from my previous 3-5/hour) and I had more ability to adjust care as needed to fit the unique needs of my patients. As I continued to grow personally and professionally my desire to provide exceptional care increased and with it came the nagging thought that it was time to do my own thing. 4 years into that role, the clinic was sold to another company…
Now here we are, 16 years and 3 clinics later and the story has changed a bit.
I now provide in-home physical therapy care in Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler and Queen Creek.
It is my deep desire to provide high level, personalized, adaptable care to my patients. I do not have it all figured out yet and I will continue to learn and grow as a business owner, physical therapist and a person, all of which will allow me to better serve my patients.
Thanks for taking the ride with me, let’s see where this can go!
