In It Together Physical Therapy
Helping you move better, feel stronger, and understand your body — one post at a time.
Welcome to the In It Together PT Blog
This space is designed to support you between sessions, answer common rehab questions, and give you practical tools you can use at home. As a physical therapist with over 16 years of experience providing in-home physical therapy across Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, and Queen Creek, my goal is to make rehab simple, clear, and accessible — even when life gets busy.
Every post is written with real patients in mind and focuses on safe, actionable steps you can use right away.
The Real benefits of Out-of-Network/Cash-pay Physical Therapy
When most people think of physical therapy, they picture clinic visits, insurance paperwork, and rushed sessions that leave them feeling like a number. Out-of-network and cash-pay physical therapy flips that model completely by focusing on you, your goals, and your results.
Personalized Care That Puts You First
Working with an out-of-network physical therapist means you and your provider decide what your care looks like, not an insurance company. You get the time, attention, and hands-on treatment needed to make meaningful progress. Every visit is one-on-one, allowing for thorough evaluations, customized exercise plans, and the use of advanced techniques such as dry needling, cupping, red light therapy, and LENS neurofeedback.
The Convenience of In-Home Physical Therapy
At In It Together Physical Therapy, I bring expert care right to you. In-home sessions remove one of the biggest barriers to recovery: time. You don’t have to drive across town, sit in waiting rooms, or rearrange your schedule. Instead, you receive high-quality physical therapy in the comfort and privacy of your home, office, or gym.
Understanding Out-of-Network Reimbursement
If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for personal reimbursement. After each session, I track your visits and can provide a detailed invoice, often called a “superbill,” on a monthly basis when requested. You can then submit this document directly to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Before getting started, it’s a good idea to contact your insurance provider and ask a few key questions to understand your out-of-network benefits. Ask what percentage they reimburse for out-of-network physical therapy, whether you have a deductible to meet first, and how to submit your claim. Many insurance companies allow online submission through a member portal, while others require mailing in a claim form along with your superbill.
Once you have this information, the process becomes simple and straightforward. Depending on your plan, many clients find that reimbursement rates make out-of-network care nearly as affordable as in-network therapy, with the added benefit of personalized, one-on-one treatment provided in the comfort of your home.
Why It Matters
Your body deserves individualized attention, not a one-size-fits-all plan dictated by time limits or visit caps. Out-of-network, cash-based physical therapy gives you the freedom to focus on real healing that is delivered where you are most comfortable, on your schedule, and built entirely around your goals.
